A time-lapse of Planet Earth, created from images produced by the geostationary Electro-L Weather Satellite. The images were obtained beginning on May 14th, and end on May 20th. The images are the largest whole disk images of our planet, each image is 121 megapixels, and the resolution is 1 kilometer per pixel. They are taken every half hour, and have been interpolated (smoothed) to create this video. The images are taken in four different wavelengths of light, three visible, and one infrared. The infrared light is reflected by forests and vegetation, which appear orange in these images. Images Copyright NTs OMZ.
Never, Ever Give Up. Arthur's Inspirational Transformation!

If this story can inspire someone you know, please share it with them! Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again. He stumbled upon an article about Diamond Dallas Page doing Yoga and decided to give it a try -- he couldn't do traditional, higher impact exercise, so he tried DDP YOGA and sent an email to Dallas telling him his story. Dallas was so moved by his story, he began emailing and speaking on the phone with Arthur throughout his journey - he encouraged Arthur to keep going and to believe that anything was possible. Even though doctors told him walking would never happen, Arthur was persistent. He fell many times, but kept going. Arthur was getting stronger rapidly, and he was losing weight at an incredible rate! Because of DDP's specialized workout, he gained tremendous balance and flexibility -- which gave him hope that maybe someday, he'd be able to walk again. His story is proof, that we cannot place limits on what we are capable of doing, because we often do not know our own potential. Niether Arthur, nor Dallas knew what he would go on to accomplish, but this video speaks for itself. In less than a year, Arthur completely transformed his life. If only he had known what he was capable of, 15 years earlier. Do not waste any time thinking you are stuck - you can take control over your life, and change it faster than you might think. Hopefully this story can inspire you to follow your dreams - whatever they may be. Anything is Possible! For more information about DDP YOGA, visit http://www.ddpyoga.com To contact Arthur or Dallas Page about this incredible story, please visit http://www.ddpbang.com and contact them. Both Dallas and Arthur are available for events to share their inspirational story. Arthur's story is featured in the upcoming documentary, http://www.inspiredthemovie.com

Ofra Haza - Im Nin'alu (Original Version - 1984)

"Im Nin'alu" is a Hebrew poem by the 17th century's Yemenite Rabbi Shalom Shabazi, which has later been put to music and was sung by Israeli singer Ofra Haza, among others. Yemenite Jews have been singing it in various celebrations, mainly weddings. Most of the song is about the angels praising and singing to god. This is the original version recorded by Ofra, from the album "Yemenite Songs" a.k.a. "Shirey Teyman". In this album Ofra returned to her roots interpreting traditional Yemeni Jewish songs with lyrics coming from the poetry of Rabbi Shalom Shabazi. The album was recorded with both traditional and modern musical instruments; wooden and metal percussion, Yemenite tin and tambala, strings, brass and woodwind as well as drum machines and synthesizers. In 1988, a remix of this song became an international hit for Ofra, topping the charts in various countries including the UK, Germany and the US. You can hear it here: [media] A third version was recorded by Ofra in 1997: [media] And there is also a live version from 1978: [media] The album Forever Ofra Haza - Her Greatest Songs Remixed was released in 2008. My two favoriets from this album are: the unplugged mix: [media] and the bridge mix: [media] Madonna used parts of "Im Nin'alu" for her song "Isaac", when she released the album "Confessions on a Dance Floor" in 2005. Some of the lyrics are: IM NIN'ALU - If they are locked, DAL THAEY NA DI VIM - The doors of the generous ones. DAL THAEY MA ROM - The doors of the sky, LO NIN'ALU - won't be locked. EL HI MA RE MAM AL KARUVIM - God is alive and sublime to the angels, KULAM BA RUHO YA'ALU - In his spirit they'll rise above. EL HI - god is alive. And in English only: If the doors of the generous ones are locked, The doors of the sky won't be locked. (sky refers to heaven/god). If the doors of the generous ones are locked, The doors of the sky won't be locked. God is alive and sublime to the angels, In his spirit they'll rise above. Go

"Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are" - Steve Vai

Guitar legend Steve Vai will release his concert film and live album "Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are" September 29th, 2009 on Favored Nations Records. The show was recorded and filmed at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN before a sold-out audience as part of Vais successful Sound Theories world tour. Vai is widely known for both his unprecedented guitar playing techniques and the unique design of his signature series Ibanez Jem guitar. But his fans have become inextricably drawn to his melodic depth, and dynamic stage performance. The continued evolution of his craft is made apparent in the astonishing musicianship presented in "Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are". The 2 hour and 40 minute set contains several new tracks and re-orchestrated pieces culled from his rich catalog. His guitar-wielding extravaganza in 'The Murder' is an artistic performance piece that must be seen to be believed. The addition of virtuoso violinists Alex DePue and Ann Marie Calhoun add a dazzling dimension to Vai's compositions and stage show, delivering fans the unexpected edge they always expect. Other world-class musicians chosen for Vai's band are: Bryan Beller (bass), Jeremy Colson (drums), Dave Weiner (guitar and sitar) and Zack Wiesinger (lap steel). "Live In Minneapolis - Where The Wild Things Are" is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and audio CD on September 29th.
